Living Word Bibles is an independent Bible publisher rooted in Indiana. We create simple, elegant, reverent editions of the Holy Bible designed to be read often—at home, in church, and on the go.
Since 2000, our work has centered on access: placing God’s Word within reach across websites, phones, tablets, e-readers, audio, and carefully selected print editions.

Since 2000, Living Word Bibles has maintained a Presidential eBible tradition that joins our mission of digital Scripture access with the history of the American presidency.

Living Word Bibles has prepared and sent a personalized eBible to every U.S. President in office since 2000, beginning with President Bill Clinton.
Across successive administrations, the tradition has remained centered on Scripture, continuity in the Office of the President, and the changing ways the Bible can be read in the digital age.

From President Bill Clinton to President Donald J. Trump, the collection reflects more than two decades of American presidential history and the continuing transition of Scripture into the digital age.
42nd President of the United States
Bill Clinton
1993–2001
Born in Hope, Arkansas, in 1946, Bill Clinton studied at Georgetown University, attended Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, and earned his law degree from Yale. Before entering the White House, he served as Arkansas attorney general and as governor of Arkansas. He served two terms as the 42nd President of the United States from 1993 to 2001.
In 2000, during the final year of the Clinton Administration, Living Word Bibles began its continuing Presidential eBible tradition by preparing a personalized digital Bible for the President in office.

43rd President of the United States
George W. Bush
2001–2009
Born in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1946, George W. Bush graduated from Yale University and later earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. He worked in the energy industry, was part of the ownership group of the Texas Rangers, and served as governor of Texas before becoming the 43rd President of the United States. He served two terms from 2001 to 2009.
With the presidential transition of 2001, Living Word Bibles continued the Presidential eBible tradition with President Bush, carrying the practice into a new administration and a new century.

Barack H. Obama
2009–2017
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1961, Barack Obama worked as a community organizer in Chicago before attending Harvard Law School, where he became the first African American president of the Harvard Law Review. He later served in the Illinois State Senate and the U.S. Senate before becoming the 44th President of the United States. He served from 2009 to 2017.
Living Word Bibles continued the Presidential eBible tradition during the Obama Administration, extending the same practice across another presidential transition.

Joe Biden
2021–2025
Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, in 1942, Joe Biden represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate for 36 years before serving as the 47th Vice President of the United States from 2009 to 2017. He later served as the 46th President of the United States from 2021 to 2025.
Living Word Bibles continued its Presidential eBible tradition during the Biden Administration, maintaining the sequence that began with President Clinton in 2000.

Donald J. Trump
2017–2021; 2025–present
Born in Queens, New York, in 1946, Donald J. Trump graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and built a career in real estate, business, and media before entering elected office. He served as the 45th President of the United States from 2017 to 2021 and returned to office in 2025 as the 47th President.
Living Word Bibles’ Presidential eBible tradition includes President Trump and continues through his current presidency, carrying the tradition beyond its first quarter-century.

Born in Manila and raised in Carmel, Indiana, Sophie’s formation in church life and theology shaped a calling to serve the Church by putting the Gospel in people’s hands. At Living Word Bibles, she leads strategy, partnerships, publishing operations, newsletters, and digital access.

The online Bible readers are available without a reading fee. Some downloadable or specially formatted editions are free, while others are sold at low cost.
